What first interested you in arm wrestling?
The excitement that Rick Pinkney and Scott MacInnis had towards the sport.
Where was your first tournament?
The Ponderosa Tavern in Truro, Nova Scotia.
How did you do?
Ok I guess, I'm still doing it.

How much longer will you continue to referee?
Until they retire me.
What has been your most memorable moment?
When I got the opportunity to referee the 1993 World Arm Wrestling Championships in Edmonton, Alberta.
Who do you look forward to refereeing and why?
Rick Pinkney. Rick knows the rules inside and out, and uses that knowledge to the max.
Who and where were your favorite matches?
One particular match that comes to mind was between Perry Bruhm and Rob McNamara at a tournament in Eskasoni. Perry came back from the "B" side to beat Rob twice to win the overall title. Sorry Rob.

What are your favorite tournaments and why?
Who do you look up to and why?
Rick Baarbe, Kevin Kelly, people like this that have been through the competitive side of arm wrestling, and still participate as referees.
Who has been your greatest influence and why?
My greatest influence was Scott MacInnis who trained me in my early years.
To what do you attribute your success?
The training by Scott MacInnis and Rick Pinkney, and also the support of people like Perry Bruhm, and Cecil Fahey.
What do you need to move up to next level?
I don't know, maybe referee more tournaments outside of the Maritimes.

What do you do for training?
Just keep on refereeing tournaments.
What changes to the sport would you like to see?
I would like to see more communication throughout Canada. We rarely hear about tournaments outside of the Maritimes.
What do you dislike about arm wrestling?
Nothing, except that is, poor losers.
